Furrington Palace is the main residency of the Furrian royal family, located in the nation's capital city of Furrington. The Palace was built in 1164 as a gift from the Samua. Prior to the Palace, the royal family lived in a large estate called the Grand House. After the family moved to the Palace, the Grand House was preserved for historical purposes. The royal family has many other residencies. They have a summer house in Port Milo, a penthouse in Samutropolis, a skiing resort in an isolated area west of the town of Skippy.

The Story of a Squirrel: Nut Nuttingham

Nut Sebastian Nuttingham was born on October 22, 1251 to Cordelia and Lawrence Nuttingham in Port Milo, Furria. Nut had an older sister, Imogene Nuttingham (born 1248). Lawrence Nuttingham was a successful lawyer, and Cordelia was a romance novelist. Nut had a comfortable childhood in the upper-middle class, and aspired to be a lawyer like his father.

Lawrence Nuttingham served in the Furrian military during the Furrian War. During his father's absence, Nut assisted his mother in maintaining Lawrence's law firm while he was gone, which inspired Nut to become a lawyer. Lawrence lost his leg during a battle in 1265, and returned home with an honorable discharge.

In 1266, Nut's parents enrolled him at New Tree Boarding Academy for his four years of high school. New Tree Boarding Academy was an all-squirrel school located in Timbertown, Furria (a small town about thirty miles southeast from Furrington). Timbertown has a history of politics favoring squirrels, and many elected officials were squirrel supremacists. New Tree Boarding Academy kept young squirrels sheltered from the other species of the world, and taught the beliefs and values of Rodentism, a religion that taught of the superiority of rodents, mostly squirrels. At the boarding school, Nut had a long-term relationship with Mary Templeton. Nut and Mary bonded over the fact that they both had doubts about their Rodentist upbringing.

In 1270, Nut and Mary graduated from New Tree. Nut returned to Port Milo, and Mary went to live with her family in Timbertown. They didn't see each again until after the summer, when they both attended Westford Law School for college, located in Furrington. Nut's parents wanted him to attended an squirrel-exclusive college, so they were slightly estranged from their son when he ignored their request.

In 1270, the summer before Nut's freshman year of college, Lawrence Nuttingham (Nut's father) committed suicide. This was caused by Lawrence's severe and degenerative post-traumatic stress disorder, which he developed soon after being discharged from the war.

Nut and Mary got married in March 1271, during their freshman year at Westford Law. They both attended the college to become lawyers. However, the couple had received no scholarships, and neither of their parents were willing to pay for their education. This meant that Nut and Mary would be drowning in crippling debt after they graduated from Westford. The couple agreed that they could not afford to both become lawyers, so Nut decided that he would drop out of college during his sophomore year, allowing Mary to continue her education. Nut got a job as a cashier at a fast food restaurant.

Mary graduated from Westford Law School in 1274. She started her own law firm, Templeton Law. Mary and Nut bought a house in Furrington near the law firm.

In 1275, Nut and Mary had a son, Marcus Nuttingham. Nut's older sister, Imogene, came to Furrington from Yonkers to see her new nephew in 1276. Upon arrival, Imogene told Nut that their mother, Cordelia Nuttingham, had died from natural causes two years ago.

In August 1291, Nut discovered that his wife was having an affair with another lawyer from Templeton Law. The couple immediately separated, which Mary completely cutting off ties with her husband and son. Devastated, and without a sufficient income, Nut and his sixteen-year-old son, Marcus, moved to Yonkers to live with Nut's sister, Imogene.

Imogene Nuttingham never married and never went to college. After her mother's death in 1274, Imogene continued writing Cordelia's ultra-popular romance book series, Kiss of Fate. Cordelia's publisher asked Imogene to write under her mother's name as a pseudonym, in order to keep fans of the series invested. Imogene moved to Yonkers in 1275 to be closer to her book editor. Nut and Marcus came to live with Imogene in September 1291, the three of them living in a small apartment in downtown Yonkers. Nut got a job as an insurance agent in February of 1292.

In 1293, Marcus turned eighteen and moved out of his home with his father and aunt. He married his high school girlfriend, Dinah Wartmann (a dinosaur), later that year, and the couple moved to Samutropolis. In 1296, they had a son named Butt. Marcus and Dinah were divorced in 1299, soon after which Marcus starting dating Megan Berman, a highly intelligent student at Borden University. Megan and Marcus were together for several years, and they had a daughter in 1306, named Nutella Nuttingham. Marcus and Megan were engaged in June 1307.

After his son moved out, Nut also moved out of his sister's apartment. He relocated himself to his one house in a Yonkers suburb, at the address of 842 Hickory Street.

In November 1307, Marcus and Megan were both involved in a catastrophic car accident on Highway 103. Megan died upon impact, and Marcus was transported to Yonkers South Surgical Clinic, a small hospital. Marcus died from his injuries later that day. Due to the inexperienced faculty at the clinic, Nut was not informed of his son's death until hours after Marcus was already dead. At the time of the accident, Nut had been babysitting both Butt and Nutella. Marcus' mother, Mary, learned of her son's death only when Imogene called to tell her.

Nut agreed to be the legal guardian of his two grandchildren. Dinah Wartmann, Butt's mother, had been declared missing in 1304, last seen at a gas station in Mounttainton.

Nut enrolled Butt at a preschool in 1308, but he kept failing, having to constantly repeat. In 1311, he was expelled from PS-22. He later got back into the school after Nut begged the teacher, Miss Luna. Later, Nutella also attended the school. They both graduated from preschool in 1311.

Nut never told Nutella or Butt about their parentage. They knew that their father was Nut's son, but they both believed that they were full siblings with the same unknown mother. They did not know they were actually half-siblings, and Nut treated them as if they were full siblings.

In 1309, Nut saw an opening as a judge's manager. Eager to fulfill his dream of working in the judicial system, he applied and quickly got the job as Judge Mia's manager. However, there was a mix-up with the hiring applications. Judge Mia thought that Nut had got the job of judge's assistant, and Nut thought that he had got the job as judge's manager. This confusion was cleared up, and it was decided that Nut will fill the roles of both assistant and manager. Nut also sometimes acts as the judge's bailiff, escorting losers of the cases out of the building when needed. The job did come with a catch, however. Judge Mia's new reality series, Judge Mia, started airing soon after Nut was hired. At first, Nut did not want any part in the TV series. For the first three episodes, Nut only allowed himself to be an extra on the series. Later, Nut finally gave in and signed a contract with Judge Mia Network, making his first real appearance in the Thanksgiving special that year.

In early 1311, Nut conducted interviews for Judge Mia's new intern. He eventually decided on Humphrey Dooberton.

In 1311, Judge Mia retired from judicial work. Her replacement, Judge Humphrey Dooberton, immediately filled in her role. Judge Humphrey got his own TV series, Judge Humphrey Dooberton. Nut continued to work for JMN Studios, acting as Judge Humphrey's assistant/manager just as he did for Mia, also becoming a regular cast member on Judge Humphrey Dooberton. After a behind-the-scenes disagreement with Judge Humphrey, Nut decided to leave JMN Studios in 1314. At this time, Butt was still in 8th Grade (he had failed multiple times, just like he had in preschool), and Nutella had skipped four grades.

Nut eventually gained enough funds to open Nuttingham School of Business in 1317. The school taught law, economy, and other business practices.

Nutella graduated from Yonkers West High School in 1320, when she was 13. In 1325, she graduated from Borden University with a PhD in neuroscience, the number one university in the country. Nutella returned to Borden University to get another PhD in biophysics. Nutella is unmarried. She begun working at the Furrian National Institute of Physics Research in 1330, and later a part-time neurosurgeon at Yonkers Holy Tenderness Catholic Hospital in 1332. She became a very in-demand surgeon all across the country, and was invited to Monkeytown General Hospital to perform a high-risk tumor removal surgery on Karen Snortleson in 1338. She currently (1340) works both jobs at the same time.

Butt finally attended Yonkers West High School in 1321, but he dropped out halfway through his freshman year. Butt currently (1337) works as a janitor at his grandfather's school, Nuttingham School of Business.

Currently (1337), Nut continues to live at his home at 842 Hickory Street with Butt, working as the headmaster of Nuttingham School of Business. His sister, Imogene lives at Geezer Groves Retirement Home. Mary and Nut never saw each other after their separation.

Reynolds and Mia: Love Story for the Ages

Mama Mia Capapasosa Sockscalp was born on July 12, 1242 in Furrington, Furria to Mabel and Maurice Sockscalp. She had no siblings. Mabel Sockscalp (née Tiffany) was the daughter of a wealthy business owner, and Maurice came from an honorable line of royal advisers to the King. Mia had a comfortable childhood in the upper-crust of Furrington society, but her parents were often absent due to their extravagant and high-paying careers. This resulted in Mia's distant and off-putting deposition.

Reynolds Robert Redford was born on January 17, 1245 in Sarsaparilla, Furria to Angus and Leah Redford. Reynolds had four older brothers (Rodney, Rowan, Ryan, and Reuben), and two younger sisters (Rita and Ruth). Sarsaparilla is a tiny rural town just west of of Mount Royal National Park, a predominantly agricultural community. The Redford family made their livelihood working on their farm, which was revered as one of the best is Sarsaparilla. In 1258, Sarsaparilla was hit with a deadly tuberculosis outbreak. Most of the Redford family, including Reynolds, contracted the disease. Angus, Rodney, Ryan, Reuben, and Rita all died from tuberculosis in 1258. Out of the family members to catch the disease, Reynolds was the only one to recover fully. Ruth, the youngest Redford child and only remaining daughter, also contracted the illness. After Angus died, Reynolds and his last remaining brother, Rowan (the only Redford child not to get tuberculosis) were forced to run the family farm by themselves. Their mother, Leah, was busy caring for Ruth, whose sickness had only worsened. The tuberculosis outbreak affected most of the other citizens of Sarsaparilla, cutting the population almost in half. The farm's business was dwindling and the remaining Redford family struggled to buy food and clothes. Leah Redford decided to move her family to the big city of Furrington so she and her two sons could get jobs in the booming factory industry of the time. The Redford family left Sarsaparilla in 1262, after years of unsuccessful farm business. Around the same time, it was discovered that Ruth was not actually sick with tuberculosis (which explains how Leah, Reynolds, and Rowan had not contracted it). A doctor diagnosed Ruth which advanced emphysema, brought on by the dust and grime of the family farm. Reynolds, his mother, his brother, and his sister lived in a small tenement and worked in labor-intensive factories, but never get over the poverty line.

Reynolds and Mia met in 1262, just days after Reynolds moved to Furrington. They attended the same school, Walter Tiffany Charter School. Walter Tiffany is the business man who made Mia's mother's family wealthy. (Walter Tiffany is Mabel's grandfather, Mia's great-grandfather.) Mia attended the school for free, due to her relation to the Tiffany family. Reynolds, who was incredibly intelligent, was granted a full-ride scholarship into the school immediately after applying. Mia and Reynolds began dating in late 1262.

In March of 1263, the Furrian War broke out. A long cold war had been brewing between Furria and Samua since the 1240s, for multitudes of reasons. They shared ideological differences (Furria being an absolute monarchy and Samua being a constitutional democracy); The two nations competed for resources off the east coast; They had multiple border disputes. These tense factors hit the breaking point when Furrian King Cave Bear announced in January 1263 that the nation would no longer recognize Samua as its own sovereign state, but a part of Furria, instead. This enraged Samuans, whose staunch national pride resulted in the outbreak of war. During the war, the goal of both countries was to annex the other.

Wartime took a toll on the Redford family. In April, Reynolds and Rowan were both drafted into the Furrian military. Before being deployed, Reynolds proposed to Mia in April, and they were quickly married later that week. Ruth's illness began to improve, and she was able to return to school in 1264.

In May 1265, Reynolds was allowed leave for the War after injuring his arm. After returning home, his arm fully healed, and he was not called back to the military.

Mia's father, Maurice, was furious that Mia married into a poor family. Mabel, however, was happy for her daughter. Sadly, Mabel was killed in 1274 when a mentally ill asylum-escapee opened fire at a Furrington charity auction, which Mabel had hosted herself. His wife's death made Maurice give in, finally accepting Mia and Reynolds' marriage. Mabel's great-granddaughter, Magdalen Florence Mabel Capapasosa Bananomanoman, is named after her.

In October 1265, Rowan Redford was killed in battle. Despite grief over his death, the Redford family rejoiced when the war ended in 1267, Furria annexing Samua. Married couple Mia and Redford, who had been living with Reynolds' family since their marriage, announced plans to move to Yonkers, the recently-obtained formerly-Samuan city that captivated Furrians with its unique culture.

Reynolds' sister, Ruth, made a full recovery from emphysema. Inspired by her childhood illness, Ruth went to college to study to be a doctor. Like her brother, Ruth was very smart. Ruth and Leah lived together in Furrington until Leah died in 1306 from Alzheimer's at the age of 95.

Mia and Reynolds moved to Yonkers in 1268, invigorated with the post-war spirit. Wanting to carry on his family trade, Reynolds bought a farm on the outskirts of the city. Mia, who was not enthused by the idea of a farm, refused to do many of the farm chores. Mia and Reynolds lived on the farm for 17 years.

On August 6, 1284, Mia and Reynolds had their first child, Matilda Grace Redford. In 1285, Mia's father, Maurice, died from cancer. With both parents dead, Mia inherited the full sum of her parents' wealth. This convinced Reynolds to move off the farm, which was later donated to the city of Yonkers and transformed into a city park.

Mia, Reynolds, and Matilda moved into the booming suburbs of Yonkers in 1286. Reynolds worked as a bank teller, and Mia stayed at home with Matilda.

In 1299, Reynolds went missing. The police search did not profit any results, and the investigation was eventually dropped. However, in 1310, Mia and her new husband, Fransisco, found Reynolds' body in Fragile Forest National Park, at what appeared to be a camping site. A later police investigation concluded that Reynolds had gone on a sole camping trip in 1299, gotten lost, and died from starvation. It was never discovered why Reynolds decided to suddenly go on a camping trip alone without telling his family.

Leah and Ruth visited Yonkers in 1299 to attend Reynolds' funeral. Ruth was one of the doctors who performed Reynolds' autopsy in 1310, and she came to the verdict of death by starvation.

Mia's daughter, Matilda, married Murphy Bananomanoman in 1304, and had twin children in 1305. Mia, who had attended law school in the 1290s, got her first job as a small-claims court judge in 1306. In 1309, Mia used her remaining inheritence to create JMN Studios, a production company revolving around Mia's judicial career. This enabled Mia to create Judge Mia, a reality series that followed her job as a judge and her personal life. The show ran until 1311, and became one of the most iconic pieces of modern Furrian culture. In the final episode of the series, "Judge Mia Forever", the producers planned to have Reynolds appear on the series as a figment of Mia's imagination. Mildred Bananomanoman, a distant cousin of Murphy Bananomanoman, was hired to portray Reynolds in the final episode of Mia's TV show.

Mia Redford died in an automobile accident on April 9, 1337.

Maggie and Marley: A Post-Mia Profile

Magdalen Florence Mabel Capapasosa Bananomanoman and Marley Henry Bananomanoman were both born on September 19, 1305, to Matilda and Murphy Bananomanoman in Yonkers, Furria at the Yonkers Holy Tenderness Catholic Hospital.

After graduating from PS-22 for preschool in November 1311, Maggie and Marley attended kindergarten at Presbyterian Central Primary School, a Presbyterian private school, for the 1311-1312 school year. The twins had to enter halfway through the school year for kindergarten, as PS-22 had been using an irregular schedule. The twins' tuition was paid in full by their grandmother, Mia, who was wealthy from her reality series. The twins attended Presbyterian Central through 8th Grade (the 1319-1320 school year).

Maggie and Marley attended Yonkers West High School, a public school, for their entire high school careers. In February 1322, when Maggie and Marley were both in their sophomore year of high school, their parents, Matilda and Murphy, were divorced. Murphy and Marley moved to another house in Yonkers, while Maggie and Matilda remained in the old family home. Maggie and Marley both graduated from Yonkers West in 1324.

Maggie was admitted to Monaunkibou University for the 1324-1325 school year, her first year of college. Marley was admitted to Nuttingham School of Business for his first year of college. Their grandmother, Mia, paid their tuition in full. Maggie planned to major in fashion with a minor in political science, while Marley was scheduled to major in accounting.

For her sophomore year in college, Maggie studied abroad in Ambia (a small country above Bangladult known for its fashion). During her abroad study, when Maggie was 20, she came across Eduardo von Monkingsquire. Eduardo was an Ambian exchanged student at PS-22 from February to March 1310, during which he came to be acquainted with Maggie. Eduardo and Maggie re-introduced themselves to each other, and soon started dating. The summer between Maggie's sophomore and junior year of college, Eduardo proposed to her, and she accepted. Soon after the marriage proposal, Maggie dropped out of college. Eduardo, who is the son of an Ambian Earl, was already rich enough that Maggie didn't need a career.

Meanwhile, Marley graduated Nuttingham School of Business in 1328. He quickly accepted the position of CFO at S. C. Shinypelt, working alongside his father, Murphy, who became the CEO of the company in 1319 immediately after Mr. Shinypelt's death. Marley begun dating Melissa Danley, an elementary school teacher, in 1332, after they met online.

Maggie married Eduardo in the summer of 1327, legally changing her name to Maggie von Monkingsquire. She and Eduardo lived in Yonkers after their marriage ceremony in the Ambian Palace. On July 30, 1330, Maggie and Eduardo had a son, Manny Eduardo Bananomanoman. Eduardo agreed that Manny could keep Maggie's last name instead of his. Maggie and Eduardo experienced marital difficulties after Manny's birth. Eduardo and Maggie got divorced in 1332. Eduardo voluntarily forfeited all parental rights to Maggie, give Maggie complete custody of her son. Following the divorce, Eduardo moved back to Ambia, leaving Maggie in Yonkers. Maggie's name reverted back to Maggie Bananomanoman due to the divorce.

Eduardo later married Princess Moony Furry of Furria in 1334, a union which improved diplomatic interactions between Furria and Ambia, a relationship that had been tense since Ambia supported Samua's independence in the Furrian War. Eduardo and Moony had a son in 1335.

Marley proposed to Melissa Danley in 1335, and they were married in 1336 at Marley's grandmother's courthouse, JMN Studios. Mia herself did not attend the wedding. Marley and Melissa's marriage was cut short when Marley was involved in an automobile accident on April 9, 1337, forcing him into a coma. Melissa stayed with Marley at the hospital for a week, until his he became brain dead on April 16, and Marley died. After her husband's death, Melissa lived with Maggie and Manny as she grieved. She eventually moved to Samutropolis and continued her teaching job at a school there.

Maggie and Manny currently (1337) live in Yonkers, Furria on the same street as her childhood home (334 Funky Poop Parkway), where her mother Matilda still resides.

Update (February 11, 2017):

In August 1337, Maggie enrolled herself at Yonkers Community College to try and finish her political science degree. There she met Professor Stephen Stein, who taught one of her classes. Maggie and Stephen (nicknamed Steve) began a secret romantic relationship sometime in September, and hid it from the rest of the college; Teacher-student relationships were forbidden.

Maggie and Steve's relationship was discovered by another student in December 1337, who reported it to the faculty. Maggie was allowed to continue her education at YCC, but Stephen was fired. After losing his job, Steve moved in with Maggie, living with her and her son, Manny.

Steve wanted to marry Maggie immediately, but Maggie insisted that they wait until she was finished with college. Maggie finally received her degree in political science in December 1338, and Steve proposed to her on her graduation day. Maggie accepted the proposal.

On April 5, 1339, Maggie and Stephen were married. Maggie changed her name to Maggie Stein. The couple continue to live happily at 330 Funky Poop Parkway, just a few doors down from Maggie's mother's house and childhood home.

In June 1341, Maggie and Stephen had a son. Maggie named him Marley Capapasoso Stein ("Marley" after her dead twin brother, and "Capapasoso" as the male version of Capapasosa, a long-lasting family name). Maggie and Stephen had a daughter in December 1342, who was initially named Mia Tiffany Stein ("Mia" after Maggie's dead grandmother, and "Tiffany" after Maggie's great-grandmother's maiden name). However, Maggie remembered how her grandmother had willingly admitted to loving Marley more than Maggie (from "Croakella vs. Schnauzette"), and Maggie angrily changed her daughter's name to Lillian Tiffany Stein (Lillian is Stephen's mother's name).

Stephen Stein is the brother of Barney Stein, who married Bella Bittlemeier and lives in Bitty City, Elland.
